2. Information We Collect
We collect only what is necessary to operate the app.
Account information (via Google Sign-In)
- Your name
- Your email address
- Your Google profile photo
Fleet and business data you enter
- Trip entries: date, earnings, fuel cost, fines, driver share, hours, distance, notes
- Driver details: name, licence number, Aadhaar number, joining date, active status
- Vehicle details: name, plate number, status, insurance and registration expiry dates
- Booking and customer information
- Loan records
Profile image
- An optional profile photo you upload is stored in Firebase Storage under your account.
3. How We Use Your Information
- To authenticate you and keep your data private to your account
- To display your fleet, trip, and financial data within the app
- To send local notifications for vehicle insurance and registration expiry reminders
- To generate trip summary reports and PDF invoices on your device
We do not use your data for advertising, analytics profiling, or any purpose beyond operating the app.
4. Data Storage and Security
Your data is stored in Google Firebase (Firestore and Storage), hosted on Google's infrastructure. Access is enforced by Firestore Security Rules so that only you — authenticated with your Google account — can read or write your own data.
Google Firebase complies with industry-standard security certifications including ISO 27001 and SOC 2. For more details, see Firebase's Privacy and Security.
5. Data Sharing
We do not sell, rent, or share your personal information with any third party, except:
- Google Firebase — acts as our data storage and authentication provider. Google processes data on our behalf under their Privacy Policy.
- Legal requirement — if required by law or a valid legal process.
6. Permissions
- INTERNET — required to sync data with Firebase
- POST_NOTIFICATIONS — used to deliver vehicle expiry reminders
- READ_MEDIA_IMAGES / READ_EXTERNAL_STORAGE — used when you choose to upload a profile photo
- SCHEDULE_EXACT_ALARM / USE_EXACT_ALARM — used to schedule expiry reminder notifications at precise times
- RECEIVE_BOOT_COMPLETED — used to reschedule notifications after the device restarts
7. Data Retention and Deletion
Your data is retained for as long as you use the app. You can delete individual records (trips, drivers, vehicles, bookings) at any time from within the app.
To request full deletion of your account and all associated data, contact us at friendsntravel03@gmail.com and we will delete your data within 30 days.
8. Children's Privacy
FnT Tracker is not directed at children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.
9. Changes to This Policy
We may update this policy from time to time. When we do, we will update the "Last updated" date at the top of this page. Continued use of the app after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
